Head Coach
Blaze is wrestling head coach . He comes to Bluefield State from the NC Pride Wrestling Club in Lumberton , NC .
He is a 2017 of the University of North Carolina / Pembroke ( UNCP ). He is currently pursuing his Master ’ s from UNCP .
He was a championship wrestler in college , including East Coast Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Year in 2015- 2016 .
Rocky Stinson | Softball
Head Coach
Rocky is head coach of the women ’ s softball team . He comes to Bluefield State from Kathleen High School in Lakeland , FL , where he baseball coach and taught history and government .
He is a 2003 graduate of Mid-Continent University . He earned a Master ’ s of Science in Human Development and Leadership from Murray State .
Rocky began his career coaching baseball at Mid-Continent in 2005 . In 2006 he took over the softball program leading them to three appearances in the NCCCA World Series .
In 2009 , he became head softball coach at Bryan College . During his tenure , he led the team to a regular season co-championship in the Appalachian Athletic Conference .
In 2017 , Rocky left to become an assistant coach at Tennessee Wesleyan University .
In 2018 , he became the head coach at Southeastern University .
Note : Football coach Donald Manley ( offensive line , tight ends ) and assistant basketball coach Tony Hood were added to the staff too late for this issue . Look for them in a future Blue & Gold .
